We’re beyond thrilled to share that a very special project of ours has been recognised at the 2025 Master Builders Queensland Brisbane Awards - taking out the win in the “Individual Home from $2 million up to $2.5 million” category.
Haus Northgate 065 was a deeply rewarding design collaboration with our mates at Happy Haus, and we’re so proud of what we achieved together. But beyond the trophy, what really makes this home special is what it stands for.

More Than Just a Pretty Picture
In a climate where high-end homes are often designed to impress more than nurture, Haus Northgate 065 is grounded in sustainability, joyful wellbeing and long-term liveability.
Not performative. Not trend-chasing. Just deeply considered design that supports a rich experience of family life in the subtropics. It’s not about creating an impression, it's about building a legacy and a life - one filled with warm light, cool breezes and nourishing daily rituals, privacy, and the simple joy of moving through a beautifully resolved space.
Too often, luxury homes are heavy on spectacle and light on soul. But this home is different. It was never about a façade. It was about creating something enduring - for people who care more about how it feels to live in a home than how it looks on a real estate listing.
The Kind of Luxury That Lasts
This home embraces a generous, sunlit courtyard layout - where everyday moments unfold with ease. Sunlight is abundant in this home throughout the winter months, while Summer time is characterised by deep shade and dappled light. Breezes drift through louvres, void spaces and garden thresholds.
There are spaces to gather - around the outdoor fireplace beneath the brick chimney - and spaces to pause, like the soft, sculptural stairwell anchored by floating paper pendants.
There’s rhythm and quiet drama: herringbone timber underfoot, the warm tactility of curved joinery, and the interplay of shade and texture in every view line.
This is quiet luxury. Not flashy. Not excessive. Just thoughtful, energy efficient, spatially generous architecture, where everything has been considered - and nothing is overdone.

A Consistent Approach, Regardless of Budget
Whether it’s a compact inner-city renovation or a large family home like this one, our priorities remain constant: considered planning, sustainable thinking, and craft-led detail, tailored to each site and each client.
We care deeply about how our homes feel to live in - not just for the first few months, but for decades. In all stages of family life and all seasons.
With Gratitude
To Happy Haus - thank you for being true collaborators and building with such care and precision. This home is a testament to what’s possible when the process is anchored in solid passive design, shared values and deep trust!
